Zane Mike Pyles

ZANE MIKE PYLES, age 85 of Otisville, died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Ken Coughlin officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 30, 2018 from Noon until 8PM at the funeral home, with a Rosary service at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Mike was born on September 24, 1932 to John and Edna Pyles. He married Nola Smith on November 7, 1953. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, the St. Francis Xavier Men's Club, and the Knights of Columbus. Mike enjoyed playing cards, especially at the Senior Center, working in his garden, and hunting and fishing. He retired from AC after 30 years of service. Mike is survived by his wife Nola, children: Joe (Eva) Pyles, Annette (Mike) Recker, Jim (Amy) Pyles, and Teresa (Matt) McCreedy; grandchildren: Amy, Miranda (Kevin), Katie (Brian), Makayla, Adam (Ashlynn), Clayton, Marcus (Mallory), Nola, and Angela (Seth); great-grandchildren: Alayna, Elizabeth, Emerson, Gracelynn, Landon, and Trey; brothers and sisters in-law: Margaret Pyles, Dan (Virginia) Smith, Rose Vanaman, and  June Beebe. He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Pyles; grandchildren: Cecelia and Zachariah; and several brothers and sisters.
