Winford Tippitt

WINFORD TIPPIT, age 83 of Otisville, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11AM Friday, July 26, 2013 at Vision Pointe Assembly of God in Otisville. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 25, 2013 from11AM to 2PM and 4-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Winford was born on June 22, 1930 to Sam and Myrtle (James) Tippitt. He was known in the shop as "Arc, the red hot man." He was a member of the Vision Pointe Assembly of God Church and he enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and most of all, serving the Lord. Surviving are his children: Wayne (Melodie) Phinney and Starlette Lindsey; son-in-law, Anthony Billups; grandchildren: Tina (Gerry) Tower, Wayne Phinney, Kimberly Wheeler, Jonathan Phinney, Nickeya (Chris) Laycock, and Damian (Lindsey) Lindsey; 10great-grandchildren; sisters: Martha, Wanda, Sharon, Dorothy, Brenda, and Pat; many special friends; and the hospice team. He was preceded in death by his wife, Veda Louise; and brothers: William, Roy, Edward, and Richard.
