WILMA I. SMITH, age 90 of Otisville, died October 28, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Hudson Funeral Service Inc., Pastor Janine Plum officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3PM-8PM and Friday from 10 AM-8PM. There will be an Order of the Eastern Star Service at 6PM on Friday followed by an Amaranth service. Contributions may be made to Otisville Order of the Eastern Star Nourmahal Chapter 282, Amaranth Flint Court #2, or Richfield United Methodist Church. Wilma was born in Goodrich, MI on November 23, 1918 to William and Adeline (VanNorwick) Crawford. She married Eldon (Al) Smith on March 8, 1940. She was a member of the Otisville Order of the Eastern Star Nourmahal Chapter 282, Amaranth Flint Court #2, and Otisville Historical Society. Wilma also enjoyed the company at the Otisville Senior Center. She was named Most Honored Citizen by the Otisville Historical Society in 2005. She attended Richfield United Methodist Church, enjoyed traveling and Square dancing with her husband. Wilma worked for the Post Office for 36 Years until 1986 when she retired. Wilma and Al also farmed in the Otisville area. Surviving are her nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; great-great-great nieces and nephews; great-great-great-great nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, Dale and Yvonne Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 Years, Eldon(Al) Smith; her parents, two brothers, one sister, nieces, and nephews.
