William J. Loik

WILLIAM (BILL) J. LOIK, 70 died on Friday, July 13, 2012, with his family by his side at Hurley Medical Center. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:30 AM Monday July 16, 2012 at the Mumford- Hudson Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10:30 until the time of the service. He was born on Aug. 21, 1941, to Paul Loik and Agnes McNeely. He married Katherine Y. Hale on Nov. 28, 1964. They have four children. He was very proud of that fact that he lived his entire life in Otisville, serving his community in many ways including volunteer firefighter and building inspector. He served in the Michigan National Guard as a medic. He worked as a brick mason for more than 40 years and served as a bricklayer's union representative for more than 10 years. He leaves behind his beloved wife Kathy; children: Paul (Cindy), Marie (Mike), Billy, and Tony. He leaves nine grandchildren: Katie, Derek, Sarah, Erica, Amy, Alex, Jaclyn, Jacob, Anthony and cherished uncle Raymond. He also leaves behind many dear friends. He was a cherished husband, father, papa and friend. He will be missed.
