William "Bill" Herner

WILLIAM "BILL" HERNER, age 78 of Otisville, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at his home. His funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Alan Duce officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 12-8PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, 30400 Telegraph Rd., Ste. 150, Bingham Farms, MI 48025. Bill was born on May 25, 1936, the son of Antony and Irene (Jolls) Herner. He worked as a self-employed brick and block mason. Bill attended the Richfield Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and snowmobiling. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rita; daughters: Kathy (Terry) McClain of Otisville, Kim (Steve) Spiris of Clarkston, and Kay (Steve) Ross of Goodrich; grandchildren: Brent (Alicia) McClain, Craig (Becky) McClain, Alicia (fiancé, Aric) Spiris, Jonathan Spiris, Jacqueline Ross, and Stephanie Ross; great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Abby, Bailey, and Brooklyn; siblings: Stan Herner, Mary Vogt, Irene Wargo and Gary Herner; sisters and brothers in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Robert, Ray, and Shirley; and In-Laws, Harvey and Dolores Mathews.
