William R. Garten

William R. Garten, age 59 of Fostoria, died on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at McLaren Lapeer. His funeral service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Vision Pointe Assembly of God, 9444 E. Dodge Rd., Otisville, MI 48463. Burial will follow in Rich Twp. Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday March 20, 2024 from 4-8PM at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, and on Thursday form 11AM until the time of his service at the Church. in lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the family.

Bill was born in Pontiac, Michigan on May 22, 1964 to Garnette and Beverly Garten. He married Tina Miles on April 11, 1992 in Oxford, Michigan. Bill was a member of Vision Pointe Assembly of God and was a collector of everything Farmall and International Harvester. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed 4-wheelers, fishing, and living the farm life. He loved going camping and sitting around campfires telling stories. Bill also loved being a family man.

He is survived by his wife, Tina; children: Keaghan, Haleigh, Elena, and Adam; brother, Matthew Garten; father and mother in-law Basil and Barbara Miles; brothers and sisters in-law: Debi and Rodney Skinner, and Mike (Jeanette) Miles; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Joelle Garten; parents Garnette and Beverly Garten; sister, Sandra Matich; and brother, Marshall Garten.
