Warren F. Penney

WARREN F. PENNEY, age 92, of Columbiaville died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Lapeer Regional Hospital. The funeral service will be held 11AM Friday, February 23, 2007 at Hudson Funeral Service, Inc., Otisville. Rev. Jim James will be officiating. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Columbiaville. Visitation will be Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 4-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital. Warren was born on July 1, 1914 in Royal Oak, MI to George and Olive (Knowles) Penney. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, farming and traveling. He was a founding member of the Columbiaville Sportsman's Club.
He was also a member of the IBEW Local 17 for 31 years. He worked at Detroit Edison for 14 years and L.E. Myers for 17 years. Surviving is his daughter: Mary (Jan) vanDongen; daughter-in-law: Kay Penney; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister: Phyllis Rae; brother: Fred (Shirley) Penney; sister-in-law: Gertrude; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara O. Penney and son, Robert W. Penney.
