WANDA L. CLOSE, age 76 of Birch Run, died Sunday June 14, 2009 at her daughter's residence. Funeral Service will be 1PM Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Hudson Funeral Service Inc., Otisville. Burial will follow in Smith Hill cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 5-9PM and Tuesday 10 AM-9PM. Wanda was born in Davison on August 22, 1932 to Cecil and Phyllis (Davis) Smith. Wanda enjoyed playing bingo and cards and spending money on her grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Denise (Gary) Lundberg, Mike (Debbie) Major, Gloria Gunnels, Aaron (Kelly) Major, Connie Thomas; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; many step children and step grandchildren; sister Virginia (Norm) Gammage; 5 brothers: Wes (Liz) Smith, Jack(Barb) Smith, Carson(Judy) Smith, Jerald (Bonnie) Smith, Randy Smith; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her two husbands: Arthur Major and Daniel Close; her parents; sister: Janet; and 3 great grandsons: Hunter, Jordan, and Nicholas.
