Walter H. Ratza

WALTER H. RATZA of Otisville age 79, died Monday December 25, 2006 at Maple Woods Convalescent Center, Clio. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Smith Hill Cemetery, Sister Elaine LaBell officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from Noon to 9 PM. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Walter was born July 8, 1927 the son of Walter and Stella (Swantek) Ratza. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #598, and a WWII Veteran. He loved to hunt, fish and work with wood. Walter retired from G M Truck and Bus in 1978. Surviving are his children: Pamela (Jerry) Lerette, Michael (Pamela) Ratza, Mitchell (Christine) Ratza, Patricia (Gregory) Holmes, Colette (Kevin) Knake, Erin (Douglas) Pitarski; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a brother James Ratza and a sister Estelle Piccanio, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Luella; parents and several brothers and sisters.
