W. Neil Hayword

W. Neil Hayward, age 97 of Otter Lake, died on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at his residence.  Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place.

Neil was born in Detroit, MI on September 12, 1928 to William and Catherine Hayward. He worked as a school counselor for many years. He was a private pilot and loved flying and traveling all over the world.  Neil was also a Master Gardener and enjoyed riding his tractor.

He is survived by his wife, Julia (Warmouth) Hayward; children: Ellen (Nick) Demchak and William (Tera) Hayward; grandchildren: Nicholas, Zachary, Allison (Nick) Lagerman, Liam and a great granddaughter on the way.

Neil was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Geneva, Beatrice, William "Bud," and Betty.
