Thomas Donald Kowitz

THOMAS D. KOWITZ, age 64 of Millington, died Saturday, November 17, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 4PM on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Greg Capsel officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the funeral home from 11AM until the time of service. Thomas (Tom) was born on February 5, 1954 to Donald and Janet Kowitz. He served in the US Army in the 82 ^nd Airborne Division and was a member of the Millington American Legion Post 164. Tom enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and karaoke. He enjoyed Friday night dinners at McPherson's and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a very hard worker and spent most of his time helping others. Tom drank coffee around the clock, as he was known to have a little coffee with his sugar. Surviving is his longtime girlfriend/partner Connie Smeaton; his children: Teresa (Tony) Elzerman, Rick (Stephanie) Kowitz, Melanie (William) Stacey, and Gary Smeaton; grandchildren: Brittney, Nathaniel, Jasmine, Dylan, Emily, Cole, Brynn, Riley, Kyle; great grandchildren: Parker and Miah; mother, Janet; siblings: Christine (Robert) Joles, Dan (Judy) Kowitz, and John (Tammy) Kowitz; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald and his grandparents. He will be greatly missed by all.
