Steven W. Jones

Steven Wayne Jones, "Jonsey," age 65 of Howell, died on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at one of his favorite places, on Bronson Lake. His celebration of life will be held at 3PM on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Howell Eagles, 141 Schroeder Park Dr., Howell, MI 48443. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Howell Eagles.

Steve was born in Flint on February 18, 1958 to Melville and Virginia Jones. He worked as a finish carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Union, Howell Eagles FOE# 3607, AnnArbor Eagles FOE #2154, and the Moose. Steve was a U of M and Detroit Tigers fan. He went to spring training every spring in Lakeland. He was also a huge NASCAR fan and he loved camping in the middle of the track on race weekend.

Steve is survived by his siblings: Rhonda Potter and Scott Jones; nieces: Carrissa (Eric) Hoover, Shannon (Rian) Burns, and Reagan Jones; several great nieces and nephews; aunts: Jeanette Crannie and Verna Hughes; uncle, Mathew Jones; and special cousins, Cathy (Bob) Giunta. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Gerald Potter; and aunt, Barb Hourtienne.
