Steve Heusted

STEVE HEUSTED, age 65 of Otisville, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at McLaren Hospital-Flint. A gathering will be held to celebrate Steve's life on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 11AM-5PM at the funeral home. Steve's request was for everyone to wear casual attire. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to a charity of your choice. Steve was born on February 13, 1952 to Douglas and Geraldine Heusted. He retired from General Motors Truck and Bus after 30 years. Steve enjoyed going to his grandkids athletic and social activities and was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing on his tractors on his property, and creating quality, wildlife habitats for the animals. Steve went on hunting trips to Canada to hunt deer, bear, and caribou. He also enjoyed traveling to Maine, Alaska, and Hawaii. Steve was a member of the Rhythm Rodders Car Club of Otter Lake and participated in the "Cruise at the Light" car show in Otisville. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lisa; sons: Eric (Chelsea) Heusted and Chad (Amanda) Heusted; grandchildren: Maddy, Lily, and Marisol; sisters: Connie (Mike) Beard and Jodie Heusted; uncles: LaVerne (Phyllis) Heusted and Gary (Mary) Heusted; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his faithful companion, Max. Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
