Shirley A. Carll

Shirley Carll, age 76 of Buckley, formerly of Otisville, died Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at The Grand Traverse Pavilions of Traverse City. Her funeral service will be held at 1PM on Friday, August 15, 2025 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Thetford Twp Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from Noon until the time of her service at the funeral home.

Shirley was born on October 16, 1948 in Flint, MI to Lawrence and Katie Balongie. She married Tom Carll on August 20, 1971 in St. Louis, MO.  Shirley was a hair stylist for 35 years. She enjoyed knitting, baking, and Bingo, but her favorite thing to do was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her children: Donna (Dennis) Proffer, Karen (Vince) Candela, and Dale (Lynn) Carll; grandchildren: Brandon, Nicole Brooke, Dennis, Ryan and Logan; and great grandchildren: Kyle, Trey, Alex, Kaiden, Kaileb, Brie, and Avery.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom; son, Larry; four siblings and her parents.
