RUTH WINTERS age 99 of Lapeer MI, died Friday May 10, 2019, at Advantage Living Center her Funeral service will be at Noon on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Adam Simnowitz officiating. Burial will follow in West Deerfield Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 10AM until the time of her service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Life Challenge Program, 17667 Pierson St., Detroit, MI 48219. Ruth was born on April 24, 1920 to William and Mable Kennedy. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crafting, and doing puzzles. She attended Lapeer Assembly of God and was the last of 5 siblings. She is survived by her children: Barbara (Joseph) Brownell, Dorothy Nordbeck, and Peggy (Ken) Rittmueller; grandchildren: Steven (Roslyn) Brownell, Cynthia (Adam) Simnowitz, Joanna (Vinny) Palazzolo, James Wallace (Robin) Rauvala, Donna Sikes, Denice Grant, James Rauvala, Kristopher Nordbeck, Kimberly (Kyle) Wiskow and Michael (Diane) Cashman; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Winters and her son, James Winters; siblings: Doris, Gladys, Nora, and Carl.
