ROSEMARIE K. (Rosie) FERGUSON of Otisville/Davison age 89, passed away with her family present, Tuesday December 7, 2010 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday December 11, 2010 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Rev. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 4PM-9PM, 1 PM to 4 PM Friday at the Hudson Funeral Service and 5:30 PM to 9 PM Friday at St. Francis Xavier Church. Rosary Prayer Vigil will be held at 7 PM Friday at the church. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Church or The American Kidney Foundation. She was born the daughter of Rudolph and Genevieve (Wederine) Quaderer. She married Kenneth Ferguson Sr. on January 25, 1943. Rosie was the lone survivor of the Quaderer family who donated the land for the St. Francis Xavier Church. She was a founding member of the church, the Senior Member's Club, and St. Francis Xavier's Women's Club. Rosie was dedicated to the sick of the parish. She enjoyed cross stitching and making quilts for her great-grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary. She enjoyed her church and being with family and friends. In her youth, Rosie had owned and operated Rosie's Coffee Cup in Otisville. Surviving are her children: Mary Louise (Charles) McCarter, Charles (Linda) Ferguson, Kenneth Ferguson Jr., Ann Ferguson, Thomas (Joanne) Ferguson, Sally (Arthur) Whitney, Genevieve (Steve) Scharrer, Richard (Susie) Ferguson, James (Tammy) Ferguson, Nancy (Phil) Kus, Kate Ashworth, Lynne Rae (Kenneth) Travis, with 25 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, special family friends Wayne Ellis, Kathy Schupp, sister-in-laws: Lillian Diehl, Bonnie Ferguson and Jackie Ferguson, and many other loving family members and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, 2 daughters Rosemarie and Theresa, parents Rudolph and Genevieve Quaderer, brothers: Otto, John and Raymond Quaderer and son-in-law Donald Ashworth.
