Rodney Erwin Simpson

Rodney E. Simpson, age 62 of Lapeer, died on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at his residence. A celebration of life will be held at 3PM on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the Sweet Chapel, 473 Barnes Lake Rd., Columbiaville, MI 48421. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.

Rod was born on October 2, 1960 in Lapeer. He enjoyed fishing, music, hotrods, NASCAR, Budweiser, GLB, and being "Poppa Rod."

He is survived by his father, Keith Daenzer; fiancé, Victoria Harris; children: Jenny (Don) Amante, Marie (Joe) Arnold, Nikki (Ryan) Thomas, Michael (Sam) Simpson, Ryan Simpson, Rodney "Chance" Simpson, Kelsey Watson, Sidney Harris, and Ellie Harris; and 12 grandchildren: Jacob, Luca, Monica, Ari, Jae, Logan, Brooklynn, Jenna Sue, Kelsi, Chloe, Colton, and Brinley. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Daenzer and son, Robert Simpson.
