ROBERT DUANE TEMPLETON age 82 died December 23, 2007 at Brian's House Davison. The funeral service will be 11 AM Friday December 28, 2007 at the Otisville United Methodist Church. Pastor Carter Garrigues-Cortelyou will be officiating. Burial will be in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 3-8PM and Thursday 11AM-2PM and 4-8PM at Hudson Funeral Service Inc. with a Boy Scout Memorial at 7PM Thursday. Contributions may be made to the Otisville United Methodist Church, Otisville United Methodist Women or Brian's House, Davison. Robert was born December 26, 1924 in Highland, MI to Gerald and Clara Templeton. He served his country during WWII in the Navy. He married Ardath Lorraine Doane July 19, 1946. He was employed by Buick Motor Division for 5 years, Genesee County Road Commission for 17 years, and then PPG Industries until his retirement in 1989. He served the Village of Otisville on the zoning board for many years and he was most proud of his community services as the Boy Scoutmaster and/or Trustee of Troup 254 for over 22 Years. He was awarded the first Distinguished Service Award given by the Otisville Jaycees, the most Honored Otisville Citizen in 2003, and the Edgar Guest Man of the Year Award by the Otisville Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his six children: Rodney (Debbie), Ross (Sue), Roberta (Dr. George) Mohamedally, Ralph (Chris), Russell (Beth), and Roger. 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Ardath on December 25, 2005, his parents, brothers Ronald, and Gorden (Bud) Templeton and sister Madelene Smith.
