Robert C. Shears

ROBERT C. SHEARS, age 78 of Clio, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Genesys. His funeral service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Thetford Twp. Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 17, 2017 from Noon until 8PM and on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 10AM until the time of service. Contributions may be made to the Thetford Twp. Senior Center. Robert was born on August 26, 1938 to John and Hazel (Bailey) Shears. He was a member of the UAW Local 599 and Gleaners Glen Arbor of Clio. Robert enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, and going to the casino and senior center. Surviving are his children: Elizabeth (Tim) Bunting, Robert (Heidi) Shears, and Daniel (Denise) Shears; grandchildren: Ian (Tara) Shears, Tyler Shears, Rachael Osborn, and Colby Osborn; and great-grandson, Colton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalyn; siblings: Charles Shears, MonEdith Hall, Rachael Hurlburt, and Harold Shears; and parents.
