Robert Eugene Hittle, Sr.

ROBERT E. HITTLE, Sr., age 71 of Otisville, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 1:30PM Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville, with Rev. Jim James and Rev. Carter Garrigues-Cortelyou officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from Noon-9PM. Contributions may be made to the West Forest United Methodist Church or the Forest Township Senior Center. Bob was born September 29, 1938, the son of Caleb and Dorothy (Burmeister) Hittle. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, American Legion of Otisville, and the NRA. He was also a member of the West Forest United Methodist Church and he enjoyed preparing meatballs on "meatball Thursday" for the annual Buffalo BBQ. He was a 4-H Leader and a huge supporter of his kids in sports. Surviving is his wife: Edna; Sons: Robert (Yvonne) Hittle, Jr., and Brian (Dawn) Hittle; Grandchildren: Krystal, Brian, Leslie, Kara, Natasha, and Lance; Brother: Wayne (Deborah) Hittle; and special daughter: Kathy Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Aloma.
