Robert "Bob" Gary Welch

ROBERT "BOB" G. WELCH, age 67 of Flint, died Friday, June 10, 2016 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 2-8PM on Monday, June 13, 2016. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Beaumont Cancer Research. Bob was born on May 12, 1949 to Billie and Edwina Welch. He married the love of his life, Connie Gross (Renshaw), on August 18, 1988. He graduated from LakeVille High school in 1967 and retired from GM after 30 years. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching westerns and spending time with his family. Surviving is his wife, Connie; children: Christina (Matt) Spencer, Chad (Laurie) Welch, Larrisa (Louis) Husbenet, and Brent (Brandy) Renshaw; grandchildren: Jaremy, Josh, Kelsey (Richard), Kendall, Cameron, Parker, Colin, Hannah (Ryan), and John; great-grandchildren: Behr, Aiden, and one on the way (Ryan); brothers: Tom (Lynne), Jim, and Bill (Jeanne); and mother in-law, Norma Gross. He was also loved by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Corey; parents; father-in-law, John Gross; brother in-law, John Lawrence; and best friend, Dick.
