Robert C. Diehl

ROBERT CLIFTON DIEHL, SR., age 94 of Davison, died Tuesday, November 14, 2018. His funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Gene Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Richfield Union Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Robert was born on April 6, 1924 in Davison, MI to Irving and Jennie Diehl. He married Shirley Shaul in 1956. He retired from General Motors in 1990 after 43 years of service. Robert was an Army veteran, who served during WWII in the Pacific. He enjoyed being outdoors and going places every day. Robert is survived by his children: Michele (Jeff) Diehl-Breece and Robert Diehl, Jr.; grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and sister, Alice Edgley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; son, Michael Diehl; and sister, Evelyn Cargill, brother Chester Diehl; and his parents.
