Robert Dexter Conley

Robert Dexter Conley, age 87 of Flint, formerly of Otisville, died on Friday, July 17, 2026 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 11AM until the time of his service at the funeral home.

Bob was born in Flint, MI on April 18, 1939 to Wilber and Marie Conley. He served his country in the US Army as a paratrooper in the 82ND Airborne Division. He worked for and retired from GM after 31 years. Bob married Cheryl Burks on June 22, 1963 in Sandusky, MI. He enjoyed the outdoors, where he spent his time fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed going to the casino. Bob could be found most mornings at Tom’s for coffee and conversation.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Cheryl; children: Lisa Elliott, Ryan (Laurie) Conley, and Shane Conley; adopted children: Lacey (Cody) Burns, Jake Conley and Shane Conley; grandchildren: Leo (Robin), Luke, Leeanne, David, Genaca (Ryan), Sarena, Rylee, Danica, Daniel, and Josh; several great grandchildren; and siblings, Harold and Mary.

He was preceded in death by his son, Danny; parents; and several siblings.
