Robert "Bob" Berlin

Robert (Bob) Berlin, with his family by his side, went to be with his Lord on May 10, 2019. His funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Vassar, MI. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 4PM-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice. Bob was born on March 6, 1931 the youngest child of Ben and Martha Berlin. Bob graduated from Columbiaville High School where he was an All-Conference basketball player. On June 4, 1955, Bob married the love of his life, Patricia Emery. Together they have celebrated nearly sixty-four years of marriage, while raising five children. Bob worked for Buick Motors in Flint, MI for over thirty years before retiring in 1983. Bob was a member of the Fostoria and then Otisville United Methodist Church. Bob loved watching college basketball, especially Michigan State and Michigan. He was also a big Detroit Tigers fan. Bob enjoyed hunting deer and pheasant. However, the biggest joy for Bob came from his family. Bob and Pat hardly ever missed an athletic, musical or any other event of their children or grandchildren. Bob was always there to assist whenever his family needed it. Bob is survived by his wife, Pat; children: Tim (Sherry) Berlin, Leann Turner, Vicki Berlin, Carmen Berlin (Shelly Weslock), and Scott Berlin (Bill Jones); grandchildren: Jacki (Brian) Northup, Elyse (Johnny) Hodgins, and Matthew Berlin; and great-grandchildren: Addy, Grayson, Aubrey, Brianna and Owen. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Florence, Elizabeth, Virginia, Ruth, Bill, Fredie and Chuckie; and grandchildren: Evan Turner and Jenni (Berlin) Stepnak.
