Rita G. Cole

RITA G. COLE, age 88 of Davison, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Lapeer County Care Facility (Suncrest). Her funeral service will be held at 1PM Friday, November 29, 2013 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Otisville, with Rev. Leroy Cole officiating. A private burial will take place in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11AM until the service time on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Emmanuel Baptist Church Otisville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Lapeer County Care Facility (Suncrest), Emmanuel Baptist Church, or the Alzheimer's Association. Rita was born on June 10, 1925 to Grover and Mary Jobson. She married Arthur Cole on August 5, 1944 in Mt. Morris, MI. She worked for Buick during WWII operating a drill press. Rita was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening and loved children. Surviving is her husband, Art; five daughters: Kathy (Mike) O'Leary, Linda (Rex) Cole, Vicki (Leroy) Mathews, Betty (Fred) Moorhouse, and Mary (Ronie) Myers; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Carolyn Fish. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren; parents; four brothers; and two sisters. The family would like to thank Suncrest for their wonderful care.
