"End of Watch Soldier! Thank you for your service to our country."

Rick was so very proud to serve America. He loved God and his country. He struggled with mental issues and PTSD, which he was working through with the help of the VA workers. The family would like to thank the staff at the Saginaw Veterans Hospital for their years of caring service for Rick.

Rick was very proud to be called a "Redneck" and most of his friends and acquaintances called him a "Hoot," which pleased him greatly. Before entering the military, Rick worked as a certified Master Mechanic and helped many local folks with their vehicles.

He always went above and beyond to help his friends and he even helped a few strangers along the way.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Ann Reed Rayner; his very special certified support kitty, BJ; parents; brothers; sisters; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Alexander Sandiago.

"Rest in peace Soldier, your work here is done."
