PITTENGER, Richard Lee (Patrick) of Otisville, MI., age 78 passed away Wednesday March 8, 2006 at his residence. Funeral Services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Hudson Funeral Service, 116 Grove St. Otisville, and Rev. Jim James officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 6-9PM and Friday 1-4 and 6-9PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice. Richard was born in Pinconning, MI. March 17, 1927 the son of Robert H. and Henrietta Pittenger. He married Betty Joanne Larson on August 5, 1950. Richard was a self-employed Mason Contractor for 48 years. Prior to being self-employed he worked at the Trolley Coach and Buick Motors in Flint. Richard served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post 1452 in Clio. "Pitt's" hobby included running his "many" Beagles in field trials, allowing him to travel to different states with his wife Betty in their motor home, many times with friends Ed and Maryann White. Surviving are his beloved wife Betty; children: Gary (Karin) Pittenger, Neil (Kathy) Pittenger, Cheryl (Frank Boyce) Provost. Grandchildren: Kerri Pittenger, Troy Waterman (Heather and Brianna), Steven (Robyn) Waterman and Holly (Kevin) Kritzman, Heather Pittenger, Nathan Pittenger, Tonya (Myke) Hawkins and Daniel Provost. Great Grandchild: Ava Hawkins. Step-great-grandchildren: Emilee and Chelsea Kritzman, Leanna, Ashley and Zachary Waterman. Sisters and Brother:Monnie (Ernest) Swain, Rita Bogie, Judy (Neil) Cooley, Alan (Peg) Pittinger. Sister-in-laws Joan Pittenger and Kathy Pittenger and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Berniece Cunningham and brothers; Bob, Jerry, Bruce and half-brother Leo.
