RICHARD L. FRANKS of Bay City, formerly of Otisville age 43 died Friday May 19, 2006 at Bay Medical Center. Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday May 23, 2006 at the Hudson Funeral Service, Inc. Otisville Rev. Jim James officiating. Cremation will follow at Sunset Hills Crematory. Visitation will be held Monday Noon to 9 PM. Richard was born September 13, 1962 in Flint, MI the son of Vallard and Shirley (Callahan) Franks. He retired from U. S. Navy after 16 years service. Richard loved spending time with his remote controlled planes, bike riding with his kids and building bikes for neighbor kids. He is survived by his son: Jerimah, at home, daughter Natasha of Arizona; his mother: Shirley Franks of Birch Run, father: Vallard Franks Jr. of Grand Rapids; 2 sisters: Shelly Franks of Birch Run and Sherry Zobel and friend Darcie Dubie of Birch Run. A niece and a nephew Samantha and Benjamin Ross of Birch Run, Grandmother: Mable Callahan of Birch Run, a fiancée Kathreen O'Brien of Bay City and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Benjamin Callahan and grandmother and grandfather Franks. We would like to thank Bay Medical Center E.R. Department for all their care and support.
