Rachel Rhea Fitch

(RACHEL) RHEA FITCH, age 96 of Otter Lake, died Monday, May 7, 2007 at Tendercare Health Center of Frankenmuth. The Service will be at 11 AM Friday, May 11, 2007 at Hudson Funeral Service in Otisville, Pastor Santos will be officiating. Burial will take place at Otter Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 3-9 PM and Thursday 2-9 PM at Hudson Funeral Service in Otisville. Rhea was born in Highland, MI on July 30, 1910 to LeRoy and Grace (Richardson) Dean of Highland. She married Hubert H. Fitch on July 14, 1934. Rhea was a graduate from the Hurley School of Nursing in 1934. She was a nurse at Hurley Medical Center and retired from the Visiting Nurse's Association in 1980. She was a member of Otter Lake Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she played the organ and piano for over 50 years. She enjoyed her home on the lake and the cabin in the UP. She loved to travel and bake for others. Surviving are her Children: Jacquelyn (Fred) Acre of Otter Lake, Dale (Ruth) Fitch of Grand Blanc, and Janice Jones of Flint; Eight Grandchildren and Ten Great-Grandchildren; and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972, Parents, Brothers and Sisters: Zella Marsh of Otter Lake, Ruth Olive Carde of Florida, and Harry Dean of Highland, MI.; and Great-grandchild, Cassandra.
