Pearl Robbins

PEARL CANDELA ROBBINS, age 85 of Millington, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Wellspring Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth. A graveside service will be held at 3PM on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Otter Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wellspring Lutheran Services. Pearl was born in Detroit, MI on July 13, 1931 to Vincenzo and Petrina (Alongi) Candela and was raised in Otter Lake, MI. She later married and settled in Millington, MI as a homemaker. Pearl was a proud Sicilian and it showed in her amazing talent for cooking. Always making enough to feed an army, no one ever left her house hungry or without leftovers. She loved music, especially piano, and actively enjoyed both at Wellspring. Pearl is survived by her son, Joe (Bonnie) Robbins; daughter, Tami Paul (Jim Brueggemann); and grandson, Jared (Michelle) Paul, all of Millington; son-in-law, Tom DuLude of Flushing; sister, Trina Blackmer of Gilbert, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila DuLude; brothers: Nick, Joe, Chris, and Vince; sisters: Catherine, Pauline, and Lena; and her parents. The family would like to express their gratitude to Wellspring Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth and Hospice Staff for their love, care and support.
