Michael Vernon Simpson

MICHAEL V. SIMPSON, age73, died Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Michael was born in Flint, MI on July 1, 1947 to Charles and Avis (Annibal) Simpson. He married Bonnie on March 30, 1968. He enjoyed woodcarving, hunting, fishing, birdwatching, gardening, socializing, and playing horse shoes, especially during the family tournaments. Michael was an iron worker for 8 years before taking a job working in the shop, where he retired from Delphi in 2004. He was a member of UAW Local 659.  Michael is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children: Mick (Kim) Simpson, Troy (Amy) Simpson, and Shannon (Charlie) Waters; grandchildren: Morgan, Jacob, TJ (Melissa), Justin, Zachery, and Jack; one great grandchild, Owen; siblings: Janet (Charles) Riley, Dale (Ruth) Simpson, Jerry (Janet) Simpson, Jim Simpson, Darlene Simpson, Brenda (Brian) Tanner, Vick Simpson, and Marryann Simpson. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Charles, Chet, Paul, Dick and Donna.
