Michael Joseph Gerwolds

MICHAEL JOSEPH GERWOLDS, age 61 of Columbiaville, died January 7, 2022 at McLaren of Lapeer.

His funeral service will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 11AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mike was a member of Lapeer Eagles Aerie 2427 and the Eagle Riders. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, deer hunting, shooting pool, watching sports, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; children: Jordan (Debra) Gerwolds, Gregory (Shawna) Gerwolds, and Dean Gerwolds; stepchildren: Terese Babcock, Elizabeth (Richard) Kujala, Tina Hackney, Ronald (Teresa) Babcock, Nancy (Eugene) Kelly, and Katie (Joel) Jones; 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, with another one on the way; brother, Steve (Maryann) Gerwolds; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marguerite Gerwolds; siblings: Mickey and Michael; and son-in-law, William Hackney.
