Melvin D. Spencer

MELVIN D. SPENCER, age 82 of Mayville, died on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at United Hospice Marlette. Cremation has taken place. Mel was born in Flint on July 12, 1940 to Levi and Reva Spencer. He enjoyed hunting, farming, tinkering on things, working on cars and flying airplanes. He retired from General Motors in 2000. He is survived by his children: Mel G. Spencer and Carol Schlink; grandchildren: Breanna, Brandon, Christopher, Mathieu, Ashley, and Amber; great grandchildren: Annie, Jeffrey, Chloe, Ryder, Cameron, and Gavin; sister, Myrna; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Wilmot.
