Mary D. Kruse

Mary D. Kruse, age 90 of Otter Lake, died Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Taylor Assisted Living in Clio. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. Mary was born on November 1, 1933 in Tennessee to Jesse and Alice Casteel. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, music, and dancing.

She is survived by her husband, Duane Kruse; children: Penny (Lawrence) Kidd, DeAnn Smith, Duane Jr. (Susan) Kruse, and Lori Bayliss; grandchildren: Kimberley Kidd, Christopher (Jennifer) Kidd, Larry Jr (Kim) Smith, Cori (David) Harnsby, B.J. Kruse, Nicci Bayliss, and Spencer Walker; great grandchildren: Colton Kidd, Brookelynn, Chloe Smith, Skylar Smith, Jesse Hornsby, Nathan Hornsby, Cayden Kruse, and Lillian Grace Kruse; siblings: Donald Casteel, Carol Callesen, and Chris Curtis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Larry Smith.
