Mary Virginia Hannon

MARY VIRGINIA HANNON, age 87 of Otisville, died Monday, February 18, 2019 peacefully and graciously at home with her family. Her funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Chaplin Larry Kluck officiating. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 4-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Residential Home and Health, 1681 Woodbridge Park Ave., Lapeer, MI 48446 or Lapeer County Senior Programs, 1800 Imlay City Rd., Lapeer, MI 48446. Mary loved children and served as a foster parent for children with special needs. She was famous for her southern cooking and loved life. Mary was the loving mother of Joyce (Anthony) Moore, Curtis (Judy) Hannon, Patsy (Darren) Ide, Troy (Anita) Hannon, Brenda (Bill) Brown, and Callie (Michael) Jordan; and loving grandma to many generations of grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Spencer "Pete" Hannon. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to her daughter, Callie (Mike) Jordan, for caring for Mom for the past 5 years with the support of Dr. Dan Tackabury and staff, Lapeer County Senior Programs, and Residential Home Health Care.
