Mary Marie Carpenter

MARY (MARIE) CARPENTER, age 79 of Otisville, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Suncrest Nursing Facility of Lapeer. Funeral services will be held at 4PM on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Otisville Church of Christ. Visitation will be Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 3-8PM at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home and Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 2PM until the time of service at the Otisville Church of Christ. Marie was born on April 30, 1934 to John and Mabel Wright. On March 3, 1951, she married the love of her life, Ted Carpenter. The wedding ceremony was shared with long time neighbors and best friends, Tom and Jeanne Crampton. Marie was a member of the Otisville Church of Christ, where she had many friends. She will be remembered for her love for her family and her faith in God. Marie is survived by her husband, Ted; 6 children: Denise (Dan) Beeks, Ted (Sherri) Carpenter, Chris (Michele) Carpenter, Virginia "PNUT" (Mic) Hitsman, Faye (Jim) Warner, and Terry (Sandi) Carpenter; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and 7 siblings: Ray, Earl, Howard, Lymon, Nelson, June and Helen. She was preceded in death by her grandsons: Chris, Alan, and Scott Carpenter. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Suncrest Nursing Facility of Lapeer.
