Mary Lee Averill

MARY LEE AVERILL , age 88 of Otisville, died on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 11AM until the time of her service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. Mary was born in Otisville on March 23, 1934 to Kenneth and Elorna Russell.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, line dancing, and going to her place in Florida. Mary loved being a grandma and great grandma the most. She loved children and they brought her great joy.

She is survived by her children: Deborah (Keith) Bowman, Cynthia (Dave) Thomas, and Barbara Averill; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sister, Paige Skunda; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Norton Averill; sons: Richard and Jeffrey; and her siblings.
