Martin R. Dunn

MARTIN R. DUNN, age 73 of Burton, MI died on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Henry Ford Hospital. His funeral service will be at 11AM on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Victory Baptist Church, 2378 N. Center Rd., Burton, MI 48509, with Pastor Andy AuClair officiating. The family will receive visitors from 4-8PM on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Victory Baptist Church, and on Monday at the church from 10AM until the time of his service. Burial will take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 10AM at Great Lakes National Cemetery.

Marty was born on April 19, 1949 in Flint, MI to James M. and June Esther (Berry) Dunn. He married Joann M. Shaw on April 28, 1973 and they enjoyed 49 years together, raising their family and spoiling their grandchildren. His family says, "he was a special man." Marty loved the Lord and spending time in church and was currently attending Victory Baptist Church. He spent many hours studying the Bible. Marty also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and word games, but most of all spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Joann; children: Janeen (Kevin) Chase, Christina (Bob) Galbraith, and Todd (Melanie) Dunn; 8 grandchildren: Emilie, Jonathan, Elisabeth, Ryan, Elyse, Aaron, Jacob, and Siena; brother, Bill Dunn; sisters: Sharon (Pete) Rowland and Verna (Don) Allett; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and June Dunn.
