Marion (Mern) David Ferris

MARION "MERN" DAVID FERRIS age 85 of Otisville died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at his home. The funeral service will be 11AM Friday, April 9, 2010 at Hudson Funeral Service Otisville, Rev. Carter Garrigues-Cortelyou officiating. Burial will take place at Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 PM at Hudson Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family. Mern was born on June 13, 1924 to Robert and Edith (Yorton) Ferris in Forest Twp. He was very active in the Otisville community all of his life. Avid golfer at Willow Springs Golf Course, raced canoes and hunted. He was a member of UAW local #658. He served in the Navy during WWII. He retired from A C Spark Plug in February 1976. He was a former building inspector for Forest Twp. Surving are his sons: Pat Ferris and Dennis Anas, 3 Grandchildren, many step-children, Sister: Grace Marshall, Brother: Dave Ferris, several nieces and nephews and special friend Betty Newman.
