MARGUERITE (SCHULTZ) WELLINGTON, age 86, formerly of Fenton, died February 10, 2007 at Hyde Park Assisted Living of Flushing. The funeral service will be at 11 AM Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Hudson Funeral Service, Inc., Otisville. Chaplain Bob Coen officiating. Burial will be in Gracelawn Cemetery in Flint. Visitation will be Monday 6PM – 9PM and Tuesday 1-3PM and 6-9PM at Hudson Funeral Service, Inc. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pension Fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 130 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46204-3659 or Heartland Hospice,
1321 S. Linden Rd., Suite B, Flint, MI. 48532. She is the daughter of Clyde and Pearl Schultz of Flint. She was married to Samuel Hobbs, Jr. on November 23, 1941. They lived in Fenton until 1960 and then moved to San Diego, CA. Later, she married Ray Wellington on July 30, 1982. After his death in 2002, she returned to Michigan in 2003. She grew up in the United Methodist Church in Flint, was a former member of the Episcopal Church in Fenton, and was an active member of the Christian Church in San Diego, CA. She graduated from Northern High School in Flint. She participated in speed skating, winning several medals. She was a seamstress and an interior designer. She also worked as a beautician and owned her own shop.She was also a homemaker. Surviving are her daughters: Diana (Phil) Kotz of Otisville, Colleen Hobbs of Astoria, OR; Brothers: Claude and Clyde Shultz of Flint; 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, brothers, Clarence, Melvin and Harold Schultz, and sister, Pearl Steele. The family would like to send a thank you to Dr. K.
