Margaret G. Hopkins

MARGARET GERALDINE HOPKINS, age 91 of Fostoria, passed away on June 12, 2012. A private family service was held. Margaret was born on May 26, 1921 in Whittemore, MI. She worked for the Ternstedt Factory (a division of GM) during the early 50's. Later she and her husband, Bill, opened and operated Park Avenue Restaurant on North Saginaw St. in Flint, MI during the late 50's through the 60's. She joyfully retired with her husband to the Fostoria area, where they lived out their dream together. Margaret enjoyed playing cards, cake decorating, crocheting, camping, and fishing. But her favorite activity was spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her son-in-law, Darrel Perrin; grandchildren: Cinda Louise Faw, Fredrick Zwark, Lisa Anne Parks, Joshua Daniel Anderson, Meranda "Randi" Sue Harper, and Timothy Lee Harper; great-grandchildren: Jessica Lynne (Travis Dean) McLeod, Lesanne Lynnette Parks, Jenifer Mae Parks, Rebecca Lee Parks, Brandon Lee Harper, Tayler Anastasia Thomas, Zachary Alexander Campbell, and Christopher Lewis Johnson; great-great-grandchildren: Alexander and Grace; and special friends: Chuck and Lisa Spivey, Garfield and Nancy Cooper, and Jim and Sharon Swadling. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William "Bill" Hopkins; daughter, Linda Lee (Hopkins) Perrin; and brother, Wallace James Ross.
