MARGARET ELIOSE (FICK) BURLEY age 85 of Columbiaville passed away quietly on February 1, 2008 with her family around her at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, February 4, 2008 at the Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville. Rev Amy Terhune will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Columbiaville. Contributions may be made to the Columbiaville United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Saturday 4-9 PM and Sunday 10 AM – 9 PM. She was born on a farm in Mayfield Township to Claude and Rose (Doebler) Fick on May 18, 1922 the third child of twelve. She married Lloyd Burley in Pontiac; Margaret was a lifelong dairy farmer in Marathon Township where she and Lloyd worked side by side for many years. In her younger days she was a cub scout leader and 4H leader. During WWII she worked at Pontiac Motors, She also belonged to the Suncrest Auxiliary. Family meant the most to Margaret but she enjoyed her cows and sheep, bowling, playing euchre, fishing and all family gatherings.
Surviving: She was loved and is survived by son Allan and his wife Karen of Millington and daughter Janice and husband Warren Walton of Imlay City; grandchildren: Debbie and husband John Fick of Fostoria, Shelly and husband Scott Williams of Chesterton, IN, Charley and wife Michelle Burley of Columbiaville and Michael and wife Eva Jankowske of Columbiaville; great grandchildren: Randy Roberts, Zachary and Joshua Williams, Katlyn and Shelby Burley and Johnny Fick; siblings: Macolm Fick, Rosemary Heffel, Jeanette Crutchfield, Thelma and Charles Woodrow, Jack and Beverly Fick, Frank Fick and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lloyd; great granddaughter Carolyn Fick; siblings: Alice, Wayne, Robert, Kenneth and Marie. She will be missed by all.
