MARGARET LOUISE BOURCIER, age 97 of Otisville, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Monday, September 8, 2008 at the Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville. Rev. Carter Garrigues-Cortelyou will be officiating. Contributions may be made to the Otisville United Methodist Church. Margaret was born in Flint, MI on November 4, 1910 to Chester and Estella (Hopkins) Smith. She married Lawrence "Bushey" Bourcier on June 16, 1934. They moved to Otisville in 1956. Margaret was the first female graduate of Flint Northern High School in 1929. She was a member of the Otisville United Methodist Church, Otter Lake Literary Club, and the Flint Travel Club. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and various kinds of needlework. Surviving are her children: Michael (Marilyn) Bourcier of Otisville, Stephen Bourcier of Otisville, David (Grace) Bourcier of Vassar, and Margaret (Gary) Peters of Cadillac; Grandchildren: Scott Peters, Chad (Cyndie) Peters, Michael Bourcier, Anne (Jeremy) Langenburg, Bridgit (Pete Garrett) Bourcier, Susan (Ronald) White, Paul (Colleen) Thomson, and Gary Thomson; Great-Grandchildren: Jessica, Chase, Alexandria, Caden, Chloe, Parker, Christian, Jordan, Dylan, Daltan, Zachary, and Samantha. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lawrence; son: Larry; granddaughter: Dianna; parents, brothers, and sister. Please remember Margaret as one who lived a lush, most giving and fulfilling life and enjoyed a multitude of dear friends. She lives joyfully in our hearts and memories.
