Manson A. Atkins

Manson A. Atkins, Jr., age 90 of Davison, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026, with his beloved dog, Bella, at his side. A private family service has taken place.

Manson was born in Richfield Twp. on June 28, 1936 to Manson and Clara Atkins. He proudly served his country in the US Army and retired from GM. Deer hunting was his passion. He was always watching the deer and talking about them, and he couldn’t wait until the next deer season. Manson also enjoyed river trout fishing and taking his family salmon fishing. He loved playing cards with his family and spending time with his family was very important to him. He was also a big Detroit Tigers baseball fan.

Manson is survived by his children: Larry (Delia) Atkins, Theresia (David) LeGalley, and Cynthia (Patrick) Kreiner; grandchildren: Christina, Elizbeth, Andrew, Hope, Adam, Ashley, and Roxanne; 12 great grandchildren; and his loving dog, Bella.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Annemarie and his siblings.
