Mable May Callahan

MABLE MAY CALLAHAN of Birch Run age 90 died Wednesday May 31, 2006 at her residence, surrounded by family. Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Monday June 5, 2006 at the Hudson Funeral Service, Inc., Rev. Jim James officiating. Burial will be in Smith Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday Noon to 9 PM. Mable was born on March 22, 1916 in Caro the daughter of Howard and Edith (Convis) Mees. She married Benjamin Callahan Nov. 2, 1935. He preceded her in death Sept. 24, 1979. She was a housewife, and she worked for Mason Tackle and Derr IGA in Otisville. Mable loved to crochet, knit and do arts and crafts, especially for her daughter and grandkids Susviving are her daughter Shirley Franks of Birch Run, 2 granddaughters: Shelly Franks of Birch Run, Sheryl Zobel and friend Darcie Dubie of Birch Run. 3 grandsons: Tim (Nancy) Callahan, Tony (Brandi) Callahan, and Dave (Diane) Callahan. Many Great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law: Darlene Link. Special friends/family Lyn Thomas, Dave Mathews, Samantha Boehmer, Kathy O'Brian, Arnold Morse, and Katie March and family. The family wishes a special thanks to Lisa Lindsay, N.P., Heartland Hospice, Select Specialty Hospital of Flint. She was preceded in death by husband Benjamin; son: Raymond, grandson Richard Franks; sisters: Liz and Nell; brother: Richard.
