Lyle D. Harmon

LYLE D. HARMON, age 95 of Clio, died Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his residence. His funeral service will be at 11AM, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Otisville, with Rev. Fr. Francis Faraci officiating. Burial will follow in Thetford Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 1-8PM at the funeral home. Lyle was born on January 5, 1919 to Ellis and Ruth (Bellinger) Harmon. He was the Thetford Twp. Treasurer for 25 years and was on the Board of Appeals. Lyle was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Vienna Masonic Lodge 205 F&AM. He enjoyed farming, watching birds, and collecting arrowheads. Surviving are his children: Virginia (Donald) Batterbee, Hugh (Margaret) Harmon, Anne Coenen, Martha Harmon, Lila (Frank) Sisson, and Albert Harmon; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Eloise Meyer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Winnifred; parents; brother, Bruce Harmon; sisters: Jean Barkley and Nola Stoick; son-in-law, Art Coenen; and grandchild, Travis Batterbee.
