LOUIS I. SMITH Sr. of Otisville age 57 died Sunday, February 19, 2006 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Otisville, Rev. Fr. Francis Faraci with inurnment at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 11AM-9 PM Tuesday at Hudson Funeral Service, 9 AM to 10 AM Wednesday at the church. Louis had had cancer for the past 4 months. He was born Englewood, NJ on August 15, 1948 to James and Mary Smith. He married Doris Spedden in Dumont, NJ on December 3, 1966 and resided in Tenafly, New Jersey and Emmett, Michigan prior to coming to Otisville. Louis was employed as a skilled trades machine repair at GM plants 36 and 81. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Men's Club. He enjoyed model railroading, woodworking, boating and fishing.
Surviving are his wife: Doris; Sons: Louis Smith Jr. and Trisha of Flint, Pete (Tanya) Smith of Burton; Daughters: Christine (David) Slezak of Davison, Dawn (Jeff) Luaria of Otisville; Grandchildren: Devin and Darin Smith, Korey and Chelsea Smith, Emily and Haley Lauria and Zachary and Max Slezak; Parents: James and Mary Smith of Davison
