Lloyd Truman Harris

LLOYD TRUMAN HARRIS of Millington, age 79 died Friday July 9, 2010. Funeral services will be held Monday July 12, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville, Rev. Bruce Malicoat officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday July 11, 2010 from 1 – 8 PM. Contributions may be made to West Forest United Methodist Church. Lloyd was born to the late Herbert and Lillie C. (June) Harris on March 12, 1931. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. Lloyd worked at General Motors for 42 years, retiring in 1994. He loved gardening and cherished his flowers, dancing and going to restaurants with his fiancée Edith Smith. Left to cherish his memory are: Edith Smith; a brother: Herbert Harris Jr., of Mt. Morris and a sister: Shirley and husband James Speatzel of Snover; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great great-nieces and great great-nephews and close friends Pattie and Clarence Ball Sr. and Darla Bungard, and his four legged best friends Billy and Buster. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Albert, Ralph and Earl and sister: Marie Burrows.
