Linda Swartwood

Linda Swartwood, age 72 of Otter Lake/Chesaning, died on Sunday, December 1, 2024. Her memorial service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Father Ken Coughlin officiating. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 10AM until the time of her service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.

Linda was born in Flint, MI on May 20, 1952 to Matias and Joan Palacio.  She was a member of St. Francis Xavior Catholic Church. Linda enjoyed cooking, baking, and doing crafts, such as crocheting, knitting, and quilting.  She liked spending time outdoors, gardening, fishing, and camping.  Linda was a teacher and she helped people with special needs prepare to go out into the work force.

She is survived by her children: Maria O'Connor and Nathan (Kim) Swartwood; many grandkids and great grandkids; sisters: Mary (Richard), Helen (Greg), and Ruth; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean; siblings, Gloria and Frank; and her son-in-law, Tim.
