Lewis Hemingway

LEWIS HEMINGWAY of Otter Lake, age 81, died Wednesday August 4, 2010 at Covenant Health Systems, Saginaw. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday August 9, 2010. Visitation will be Sunday from 2- 7PM. Funeral will be held at the Hudson Funeral Service, Otisville, Rev. Gerald Mumford officiating. Burial will be in Otter Lake Cemetery. Lewis was born on September 9, 1928 in Otter Lake to James and Jenny Hemingway. He married Bernice Wade on November 15, 1952. Lewis was the Vice President of the UAW Local 581 Retirees Club, VFW Post 2409, Peppy Pioneers, he enjoyed playing euchre, steam tractors shows, and word searches. He retired from Fisher Body Plant 1. Lewis is survived by his wife Bernice; two children: Ann Marie Hemingway, Ray E. Hemingway; sister-in-law: Beverly Hemingway; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Bruce and Robert Hemingway; sisters: Erma Clute and Marjory Haughey.
